ABOUT THE FLINNS

Husband-and-wife duo Max and Brittney Flinn, known as The Flinns, are redefining the Country Americana music scene. Their powerful blend of heartfelt lyrics, authentic storytelling, and tight harmonies has captivated audiences, forging a unique connection that keeps fans coming back for more.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Max began his solo career playing the Texas country circuit. He has opened for a range of artists including the Eli Young Band, Radney Foster, Kevin Fowler, Robert Earl Keen, Hal Ketchum, Cory Morrow, Ryan Bingham, and David Allan Coe. His performances have graced notable venues such as the House of Blues in Houston, Gruene Hall, RODEOHOUSTON Hideout, the Heights Theater, and the Granada Theater, among many others from Texas to Alaska. Max’s songwriting combines traditional country and singer-songwriter elements, earning praise from American Songwriter for his ability to craft relatable narratives.
Brittney, originally from Northern Minnesota, moved to Houston in 2014 for a teaching position. After meeting Max in 2016, she began to join Max on stage. Brittney’s vocal talent quickly caught the attention of fans and musicians alike, leading to growing demand for the two to perform together.
Each summer, The Flinns embark on a “tourcation” across the Western United States, performing at venues, concert series, and house concerts while enjoying activities like camping, backpacking, fishing, and cycling along the way. Immersed in the beauty of nature, they find inspiration that rejuvenates their creativity and enriches their music.
The Flinns’ live performances are a testament to their versatility, seamlessly blending their original songs with beloved covers that pay homage to the roots of Americana music. They shine on classics like John Prine and Iris DeMent's “In Spite of Ourselves” and the iconic “Jackson,” originally performed by Johnny Cash and June Carter, showcasing their ability to connect with audiences across generations.
